Today's GP class was quite, quite disturbing.
We watched youtube videos on "honour killing",
a practice which is still prevailently carried out in countries such as Pakistan.
Women are killed by their very own families, fathers, brothers and cousins,
for various unjustified reasons such as refusal to comply with an arranged marriage,
acting like a german, marrying outside your caste, being raped.
being raped is seen as Adultery and the women are stoned to death.
first they are violated against their will, then they get condemned and killed for it because THEY HAVE BROUGHT SHAME TO THE FAMILY?
i don't understand how an entire community can be so accpeting of such morally flawed values and beliefs!
We should honestly be so grateful for our lives.

Anyway, I FINALLY WATCHED THE DARK KNIGHT TODAY!
I love love love the story line it kept me in constant suspense!
my heart was beating damn hard throughout and i swear my ears were numbed because i kept pressing my hands to them and hiding my eyes under my thumbs. if that made any sense at all.
sat at coffeebean with taili to catch up catch up before having to head back because it's a school day tomorrow.
